San Jose and the South Bay are home to some of the most innovative family programming in the country. The people building the future also invest heavily in their kids' experiences.
The South Bay has an unfair advantage when it comes to kids' programming: the world's most successful technology companies are headquartered here, and their philanthropic arms — plus the concentration of engineer-parents — means extraordinary investment in youth enrichment.
The Tech Interactive (thetech.org)
The only museum in the world with a Nobel Prize designation. The Challenge Lab rotates engineering design challenges quarterly. The Body Metrics exhibit produces genuine wonder. The Innovation Lab has laser cutters and electronics benches available for unstructured exploration.

"Silicon Valley parents have built the family enrichment landscape they wanted for their own kids — and then opened it to everyone."
